To tell the story of an invisible and complex process like district heating powered by recovered thermal wastewater, we needed a solution capable of making visible what usually remains hidden underground. Traditional filming would not have been effective in showing the path of the water, while a fully 3D reconstruction would have required longer production times. For this reason, using AI in the opening part of the video was the most effective choice: it allowed us to visualize the origin of the process and the underground dynamics of the system in a fast, evocative, and clear way.

Building on this narrative foundation, the project was developed through a combination of AI and 3D. AI was used to shape the most atmospheric and invisible part of the story, while 3D made it possible to represent the technical and infrastructural components with greater precision, guiding the viewer through the way the plant works and how heat is transferred into the network.

The result is a video designed to explain the district heating system in an immediate and engaging way, turning a highly technical subject into a visual story that is accessible, clear, and memorable.
